Kamala Harris could have used a Mindline to answer questions about the border instead of dodging the question and making more word salad.  But sometimes you have to work with what you have and in this instance, Kamala Harris isn't working with enough to reply in a sensible manner.

If you're ever in a position where you don't know what to say, try using Mindlines.

This is a book about changing minds by using reframing techniques.  It's a bit of a complex book, but it has interesting ways to change the framework of a presented idea. To give an example of how to use this book to remove limiting beliefs, we will use an interview that Kamala Harris gave and show how a gap in her thinking had prevented her from having a suitable response.

Then, using the premises put forth in Mindlines, we can put together a reply that makes sense and addresses the issue head on. For example, in the italics below, the mindline fictional response that Kamal Harris could have given is used as an example of how to use cartesian logic, the EB=IS formula, logical levels and the use of metaphors/storytelling for reframes.

When the Korean war ended during the Truman administration, America created the 51st parallel, President Truman didn’t visit Korea and at that we didn’t even have a vice president! Yet America got the job done and created a peace treaty.

Another example, which is considered one of the greatest accomplishments of the Eisenhower Administration, was the creation of an Interstate Highway System.  President Eisenhower didn’t travel all the highways but he got the job done paving the future for generations to travel across the USA.  So even though those leaders didn’t drive all the highways or travel to Korea or the moon, they were able to be on task getting the job done without going to those borders.

So no. I haven’t been to the border, or Korea or the moon or all the interstate highways, but I am working to get the job done.
********************

Of course that is just my way of creating a mindline and you can use your own creativity to put this in practice.

These Mindlines for Kamala might have been more appropriate and less cringe-worthy than her original response.  The challenge is that she likely wouldn't be able to say these mindlines because this way of thinking is in her blind spot.

To avoid the same error and to open up greater possibilities in your life, consider running your beliefs through these Cartesian coordinates and notice how you think differently about your thinking!
